I have been at my job for two years and am looking to resign. I am not sure the best way to go about this so that I can leave on good terms.
The best way to tell your manager you are resigning is to be direct and honest. Explain your reasons for wanting to leave and thank them for the opportunity to work at the company. Give your employer two weeks notice. This gives them time to find a replacement for you and to transition your work. When you resign, be sure to do it in person and to thank your employer for the opportunity to work with them.
