If you don't want to code should you still become a manager at a service-based company?

I’m considering a management position at a service-based company but I don’t want to code. I would rather focus on project management and business development. Is this a bad idea?

No, it is not a bad idea. You can still be a successful manager at a service-based company without coding. However, it may be helpful to learn some basics of coding so that you can better understand the work your team is doing and communicate more effectively with them.
